Valley Gem Sternwheeler- Everyone’s favorite sternwheeler cruise ship is doing New Year’s a little different this year. From 8 p.m. to Midnight there will be a “Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise” performed by Paskawych Entertainment. Historic Lafayette Hotel- With two unique packages available the Lafayette Hotel is offering guests the chance to ring in the New Year in style. The first package costs $29.95 per person or $55 per couple and includes entry into “The Party in the Ball Room”, party favors, a champagne toast at midnight and the midnight breakfast buffet. The second package includes everything in the first plus overnight accommodations in a Victorian room for rates starting at $129.95 per couple. The Blennerhasset Hotel- New Year’s Eve at the Blennerhasset Hotel is going to “Salute to Swing” this year. Take a stroll to the past for a 1940’s era murder mystery dinner & ballroom dance “Murder at the USO!” It’s 1944 in Paris, France. American troops have rescued the city, and American entertainers have arrived to perform for the troops. But there’s a twist – one of the performers is a Nazi sympathizer and has plans to kill an American Spy! Detective Hercule Parrott is on hand to solve the mystery. (Performed by Murder and Merriment)
